Our Eco Clubs are transforming school sites and planting the seed of permaculture and food growing in the children there, mostly centred around the Hollingdean/Fiveways area in Brighton.

Volunteers are always welcome to help at weekend workdays.

There may also be opportunities for more committed volunteers to get involved with eco clubs, but a CRB check is required.

Past opportunities

Examples of past volunteer opportunities include:

Maintain Forest Garden
On Saturday come along to Hollingdean Park from 10am to 5pm. Help to maintain and improve the work in Hollingdean Park with jobs that include work on the young forest garden as well as the various planting schemes. It would be an opportunity to find out about mulching, perennial food plants and permaculture design.

Build Eco Play Area
On Sunday we'll be at Cherry tree Nursery to help the nursery to create some eco play areas, including a 'loch ness monster' out of tyres. A small pond and growing beds are also on the agenda if time permits.
