17 Jun 12 (Expired): Volunteer Day
To thank our regular volunteers for their contribution to the work of Brighton Permaculture Trust over the past year, we are inviting them to a Brighton Permaculture Trust volunteer day on Sunday 17th June at The Phoenix Community Centre.
There will be a morning cooking workshop (regular volunteers only and must be booked) with our community chef Robin, demonstrating how to cook some innovative vegetarian recipes with local food, which we will have for lunch together, followed by artisan bread making and making something apple-themed.
Afternoon open invitation for all volunteers and family/friends 2pm-6pm:
Come and have a drink and some light food together and bring your family and friends, and meet up with others you have volunteered with. Musicians confirmed 3.30-5.30pm - troubadour banjo and clarinetist (from local band Tragic Roudabout) accompanied by some Sussex Wine and Black Pig cider!
There will also be a display of various aspects of Brighton Permaculture's work including Eco open houses, Apple Day, Green Architecture Day, the Plot at Stanmer Park, Eco schools work etc, and a chance to find out more about what volunteer opportunities are coming up over the next 12 months. We will be launching our new volunteer section of the this website (currently under development), and there will be a chance to give some feedback about your volunteer experiences and shape how we work with you in the future.
If you are thinking of volunteering for us and would like to find out a bit more about us first, please feel free to come along. Please contact us to let us know if you are likely to attend (which will give us an idea of numbers)
