Training of Trainers in Permaculture
10-13 January 2012, 13-16 March 2012
Brighton and Chichester
Brighton Permaculture Trust hosts the widely-respected Designed Visions ToT in 2012!
Designed Visions is a group of experienced Permaculture teachers and designers – Aranya, Hannah Thorogood, Looby Macnamara and Chris Evans - who run courses together all over the country. One of the most famous ones is their "ToT" or Training of Teachers in Permaculture. The course is about how to work with groups of people, planning how to teach various aspects of permaculture and having a go at leading a learning session.
It's often done by people who have just finished their Design course and know they want to get involved in teaching PCD sessions, or by Apprentices as part of their Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design. Or maybe by people who want to work with groups in the community and want to know a bit more about how to use permaculture as a basis for their own planning.
Dates are 10-13 January 2012 at the Friends Centre Adult Education in central Brighton for the first part, and 13-16 March 2012 at a residential centre near Chichester for the second part.
The course costs £515 for the two parts, including the residential element for Part 2. At the moment, it's planned to link it with the Level 3 PTLLS adult teaching qualification, through the Friends Centre Adult Education, which will be about £100 in addition (registration for this must happen by 20 December 2011). There are only 16 places, so, if you are interested, go directly to the DesignedVisions webpage for more details and booking information.
(Please note: if you want to register for the PTLLS qualification, this will have to be done and paid for by 20 December 2011.)
