A seasonal celebration in and around the orchards at Stanmer Park

Find out more about apples in the orchards at Stanmer at this free event. Apple crumble and teas, juice making, children's activities, apple identification, guided tours, produce for sale and much more. Admission free, no need to book, just come along.

Children must be supervised by an adult. Dogs must be kept on a lead.

Location

Apple identification

If you want to know what the old apple tree in your garden is then you can ask the expert pomologist and fruit historians. Joan Morgan, author of The New Book of Apples, will be on hand to identify apples. Please bring three or more good quality fruits and a few leaves of each unknown variety.

- Fresh apple juice, apple puddings, cakes, tea and coffee
- Buy freshly picked apples from our orchards
- Juice the apples from the orchard using a traditional press and juice for sale
- Rare Sussex apple trees for sale
- Advice on growing fruit in your own garden, allotment or orchard
- Children's activities
- Stalls from a variety of local organisations such as Stanmer Organics, Brighton and Hove Food Partnership and others
- See rare Sussex varieties of apples growing in our orchards and find out about our plans to plant others- Orchard tours throughout the day
- Cookery demonstrations and lunches made with local produce
